History: Flame grew up in Pebbleclan, the only kit to survive his litter. Because of this, he was very independent from a young age. He wasn't very curious and obeyed the rules of his clan. Because he was sheltered by his over protective parents, he never got to explore or learn much.
As an apprentice, he was introduced to the outside world and all the wonders, leading him to become more curious and adventurous. This lead him to become more defiant as well, and often went off on his own when he wasn't supposed to. He gained a rebellious reputation among his clan, not listening to his mentor and doing his own thing. This lead to him becoming a warrior much later than some younger apprentices.
When he did finally become a warrior, Flame, then Flamestripe, mellowed up but was still known for being rambunctious and questioning rules and orders. At the same time, he was respected due to his achievements as a warrior, enough that his clanmates would put up with him.
It all changed one morning during a routine patrol. The group was investigating a rogue scent, and him, his former mentor, and a young apprentice on patrol broke split up from the rest of the group to cover more ground. The scent they were following lead them to a cliff, which the apprentice slipped off of. His mentor attempted to save the apprentice, but failed.
The other cats on patrol saw what was happening, and believed the warrior killed his apprentice. Flamestripe, the only one who saw what happened, defended him. But the clan disagreed, thinking he was defending him because they were friends. They also believed Flamestripe had something to do with it. Angry at how quickly his clan judged his mentor, Flamestripe planned to leave the next day.
Flame has been a loner for a few years now. He enjoys the streets and how he only has to take care of himself. There was a short time where he stayed in a twoleg house, just to see how it felt. He enjoyed it and how comforting it was, but wanted to go back to living in the wild. He's gotten into a few street fights but mostly keeps to himself.
Personality: Flame has seen a lot in his life, leading him to be pretty desensitized to a lot of things. He is your stereotypical wise, old loner type who keeps to himself and will only interfere if it has something to do with him, or if it is the right thing to do at the moment. He usually minds his business and tries to stay out of trouble as he sees it as a waster of time. He can be kind of lazy and quite due to this, but doesn't mind being sassy and a smartass when the time comes. Like many cats not in a clan, he is independent, but hard working and clever if he needs to be. He also isn't afraid to be straightforward and tell the truth, especially when it will be beneficial.
