As with everything, litters have rules!
1. You can't have kits with two characters you own unless you buy an immaculate conception.
2. The kit's entire appearance, along with mutations, sex, and other aspects are rolled. If you customize your litter, PM aspenheart to get it accepted.
3. You aren't guaranteed that any kits in your litter survive unless you buy the StarClan's blessing item.
4. If you get a mutation you dislike, don't complain. Just use an item!
5. The characters having kits must have at least two threads in which they clearly interact prior. This does NOT mean in passing -- it means a conversation, hunting patrol, etc. They do not have to be mates!
6. If you want any control over the litter, you must buy items to do so, preferably before it is rolled, unless you have purchased the 'Kit Appearance' item. Remember, it must ultimately be approved by aspenheart .
7. Litters may have multiple fathers, if the item for it is bought.
8. Make sure every item on the application is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If something needs to be clarified, you will be notified of it.
9. These rules are subject to change at any time, perhaps even without notification.

Adopting kits from a litter has a set of rules as well.
1. No more than one kit per litter per player.
2. If you have adopted a kit from a litter in the past week, you must wait three days before posting in the thread.
3. Reserving of kits is not allowed.
4. The roleplayer of the parent who creates the thread has first choice of kit. Then, the other parent (unless decided and/or noted between them), and if the parents offer, whoever has rolled the litter. Then the adoption thread will be posted.
5. The roleplayers of the parents cannot choose the names of the kits belonging to other players.
6. No more than three litter kits with some sort of defect (excluding bobbed/missing tails, heterochromia, polydactylism, and a few others) per player. For example, I have Morningkit and Hailkit, both of which with a defect. If I wanted to adopt Lizardkit, who is missing a leg, I may. If, after that, I want Mosskit who has a bob tail, this is allowed. However, if Mosskit is blind, I cannot take him. Your member adopts and store-bought mutation cats do not count towards this number.
7. If nobody takes a kit within a month, it will be considered stillborn and will remain unplayable.
